Project Description
my project uses “[i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]” by e.e. cummings, it is one of my favorite poems as it feels so revolutionary in the way it’s able to dissect and reproduce the english language while carrying the language’s emotionality. the different variations of the design is dependent on the canvas size which can be toggled. the ‘optimal’ size reveals the full poem. when the canvas height is greater than the width the lines “i fear” or “i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)” spam the screen; the spam speed & density can be controlled by sliders. every other instance, a random stanza is generated. the color palette is also limited to red, black & white. the cursor is a circle that ‘illuminates’ the text.
