This is a CD mockup I designed for my coding game.

Project Description

It’s Autumn, Time to Plant Starfruit! is a lightweight interactive game inspired by Stardew Valley. Players start with a limited number of seeds and can plant them at different times of day. At night, crops can be planted but won’t grow; at sunrise, growth is slow; in the morning, growth speeds up. Only when starfruit are ripe can the player harvest them by clicking, gaining points and earning back new seeds. The background music, Country Shop from Stardew Valley, sets a cozy and nostalgic mood for the game.

Credits

The design and coding process was informed by tutorials from The Coding Train (Daniel Shiffman) and the official p5.js reference. Starfruit artwork are from Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe. Background music “Country Shop” is from the Stardew Valley original soundtrack composed by ConcernedApe. This project is a student work for educational purposes, not for commercial use. ChatGPT supported the implementation of a scoring counter displayed in the top left corner, and guided the correction of mistakes in the original code.
