Project Description

This project explores the shifting relationship between order and chaos through a series of daily photographs of a work desk. Metaphor: The desk is a 'landscape of thought' Physical space is the externalization of internal thoughts. Order represents convergent thinking, while chaos represents divergent, creative thinking. The map is not about clutter, but "the traces left after a storm of thought." Chaos is an inevitable accompaniment of creative work. Data collected include desk-state photos, daily activity logs, and the time spent resetting order, which are transformed into a "geological calendar." Each page represents a layer of temporal sediment, tracing the accumulation and reorganization of thought and entropy. The final outcome is a tactile sculpture of time, allowing viewers to feel the weight of time and the growth of entropy through the act of turning each page.
